Birth Control

The bible states “Be fruitful and multiply” but we have not been obedient to the teaching of the bible. Hence, we have turned to a powerful invention by scientists, known as birth control. Birth control is a method used to voluntarily prevent pregnancy from occurring. It has been a topic affecting women’s and men’s health, religion, sexuality and peace of mind for many years. As human beings, we are inclined to engage in sexual relationships. It is an innate desire, as humans, to experience sexual intimacy. Birth control is a controversial concept in which individuals in sexual relationships deal with on a daily basis. The use of birth control emphasizes decisions and interpretations of events that arise sometimes without warning which are governed by our desires. The controversy of birth control evolves around issues that have puzzled our morality for years passed.

      Today, we have many safe and effective birth control methods available to us. They are Abstinence 1,2,3, Birth control pill, Condoms, Contraceptive Foam, Depo-Provera, Emergency contraceptive pill/morning after pill (ECP), Transdermal - Contraceptive Patch (the Patch), Female Condoms, Fertility Awareness, Intrauterine Device (IUD), Sponge, Vaginal Contraceptive Film (VCF), Withdrawal and Vaginal Contraceptive Ring. The issue of birth control initiates various psychoanalytical feelings and opinions about life that bring a negative connotation towards the overall perception of vitality. Despite the Morality of birth control it is essential to recognize that it has been and currently is a major issue among humans. Many view birth control as acceptable and imperative while others view it as unacceptable and an act of disobedience to God’s wishes.


      Evaluators have argued that utilizing birth control can prevent transmittable disease, can reduce population control and for medical needs around the world.
