Three Obstacles to My Education
Throughout life a primary necessity is a college education. I have a lot of motivation and goals that are just beginning while attending Sierra College. With a degree I will have an easier successful life, but there are many obstacles to overcome to get there. I will start and finish my obstacles with steps and precise decisions. The three obstacles to my education are physical, financial, and academic.
One of the obstacles to my education is my financial challenge. Worrying about bills for tuition, about $1,000 per semester, and a rent bill for an apartment of $805 a month is not only a huge responsibility on me, but also causes stress. Working to earn money for bills uses up my time, therefore I am seeing myself ending up focusing more on my job of 40 hours a week then on school work. Having to worry about affording my education is a huge obstacle for me to overcome.
Not only does having to work for college give me a financial challenge but also a physical challenge. I am seeing myself juggle my time between school, work, and a social life. Having to make time for everything is stressful and exhausts me. I am working late into the night till around midnight on certain nights then getting home and not being able to rest instead going straight to doing homework which is not only mentally challenging, but physically as well.
Using my time to do homework brings me to my third obstacle: academic challenge. Not only is my time being used towards school work at home but also to attending school during the week. Having to worry about doing homework and studying for math and human development tests is a challenge itself to overcome. After overcoming this barrier, it will eventually earn me my career by achieving my Bachelors degree.
