There are several ways to stop The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. To begin with we can start by recycling even more. Besides recycling we should eliminate plastic bags. By doing all this we can help clean up the planet and stop polluting the ocean to stop the great pacific garbage patch.

Recycling needs be a big priority in our world. Eighty percent of all the trash in the Pacific Ocean is plastic. I believe that if we don’t do small things like recycle. Therefore we can start by making recycling a must do. In fact we can make it a habit, a priority to help out the environment. It is outrageous to think that we have been so ignorant to have created this great big patch of garbage. As a result the ocean has 6x more plastic than plankton. In addition the patch has been known to be 2 sizes bigger than Texas. For this reason we need to take more care of our planet in which we live in.

Eliminating plastic bags would do a great help to the environment. Each year 7 billion pounds of plastic is made. The reason that is there is a great demand in supply. Initially we would always use plastic bags for every need. Eventually it led up to this great pacific garbage dump. In other words we have created this big patch of dump. For example by throwing this trash into the water we now suffer, every person examined for Bisphoenol A (plastic) has come out positive. Therefore many of the diseases we ourselves have caused them. For this purpose we need to eliminate plastic bags from our society.

In conclusion we don’t have any quick fixes that can be done to stop the great pacific garbage patch immediately. Yet we can keep it from growing by cleaning up the planet one step at a time. Nevertheless can we do it by ourselves we need you’re help to clean up. So lend a hand and help out.
