1.1 Explain why effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children and, young people and adults

As adults it is important to model effective communication at the presence of youngsters as this will help them to develop socially. Communication is the process of interacting with others which involves listening, thinking and responding appropriately.   Effective communication combines a set of skills those verbal and nonverbal. Nonverbal are those which   happen without thinking such as body movement facial expressions eye contact, posture, your voice tone, and even the way you look tells people more about your feelings towards them more than words. Attentive Listening, is also important, it is the ability to manage yourself emotionally in times of stress and the capacity to realise the emotions of the person you are communicating with. Therefore to develop positive relationships with young people and adults it is significant that you know how to communicate with others showing interest
Whether it is a child or an adult it is central that you know how to approach others, considering their level of language and showing sincerity in your speech to encourage people to build up trust and seek advice and help from a service which in turn will be rewarding to you and beneficial to the other party. Therefore effective communication is the key to developing positive relationships in any perspective
