            We need to keep records of how your learners are progressing.
They are various records I have to keep in my role and below these are listed and a
brief description of each is shown.
Learner records.
    • Attendance record
      These are completed 4 times a day and must be filled in and submitted on time.
    • Personal information
      These details would have the learner, name, address and emergency contact
      numbers. This is covered by the DATA Protection act.
    • Personal learning plans
      These are completed by students and teachers, PLP, S contain such things as
      learner targets, attendance records, incident reports, learner’s reviews and
      various other assessment plans and reviews.
  Teaching records
    • Lesson plans
      A lesson plan is a teacher detailed description for an individual lesson and
      contains methods of delivery methods and specific goals and timelines
      associated to the delivery of the lesson content.
    • Schemes of work
      A scheme of work basically sets out what a teacher is planning for whole
      entirety of the chosen course on a session by session basis.
    • Evaluation
      Evaluation is the key to the improvement of teaching, if you do not know what
      you done and achieved, how can you know how to improve it.
    • Assessments   (summative and formative)
      Assessments are usually completed when one of my learners completes a task
      I have assigned them or a task that is part of the curriculum .these are called
      summative assessments. A formative assessment is going on all the time; its
      real purpose is to provide feedback of what students are learning.
