Prostitution has long, been called the world’s oldest profession. For as long back as we have records, one can argue that advertising sex for some sort of gain has been around forever. A wise man once said, “We have needs for pleasure, and concubine for the daily service of our bodies, but wives for the production of legitimate production of offspring and to have reliable guardians of a household.” Yet in “progressive” America, a land where people claim to be the most socially advanced, prostitution is looked down upon. Legalization of prostitution could solve so many troubles caused by its illegality.   The government favors to ignore the issue, occasionally making a token gesture at trying to end it completely. If prostitution has been around this long, it is not going anywhere. Nevada has already seen the light…why not the rest of the country.
If this country were to legalize prostitution, we could make a fortune while improving the health of our nation. Look at Nevada. Take prostitution off the streets by requiring services be offered in a brothel. As for the common streetwalker, arrest them for solicitation only.   Change the law to require health screening in order to work in the brothel.   In the areas of Nevada where prostitution is legal, the number of AIDS cases is down to less than 2%. (Where the illegal prostitutes have topped 25% that is a one in four of paying to contract AIDS)
The legalization of prostitution would build on the character behind it all.   Women will not have to fear going to the police when they are beaten or raped. Most rapes go unreported because of the ridicule and judgment these women receive. On the other side of the character spectrum, the customer will not have to feel ashamed for paying for sex.   If legalized it would be just as common as buying a beer from the store.
Sure the religious nuts will scream about it forever ( like they are still fighting abortion, birth...
