Problem Statement

Problem Statement
Kathy Kudler, owner of Kudler Fine Food stores directly manages all functions of the three stores, but in order to expand the business any further, she needs to hire key Management in place at each store location, and extend the hours of the operation.   If Kathy expands staff, she will be able to focus on the overall business rather than having to fill in as an employee when one person does not show up for work.   In addition, Kudler Fine Food stores may be losing customers simply because the store operates under such short hours.   Extending the hours will reach a broader spectrum of customers who would have not been able to make it to the store with the old operating hours and will make the stores more competitive with other markets within the area.

End-State Vision
The vision of Kudler Fine Foods is having the highest quality gourmet food and maintains excellent customer service. The Kudler Fine Food Stores, Owner, Kathy Kudler hired key Management for each store she operates, and allows them to oversee the operating day to day business of the stores.   Kudler Fine Foods Management focuses on each of the stores they manage, and they have complete autonomy to purchase food products, market the stores and meet the needs of the customers.   The Management team focuses on other areas of expansions within the stores to grow the business, and generate more revenue such as extending the deli sections, specialty coffee and the Asian food selections.   Kathy focuses on building the catering business and site locations for new business opportunities.   Having key management in place, has allowed Kathy to become customer focused and ensuring all stores provide the highest customer service to each and every customer.   She continues to visit the stores to target the needs of the customers for future store growth.
