Positive Influence Plan
The most effective people know themselves, know the needs of demands of a situation or relationship, and adapt their behaviors to meet those needs. In order to create effective working relationships, it is helpful to understand and adapt to the behavioral styles of other people that interact with on a daily (Witt, 2007).   In this paper, we will prepare a plan that would increase a team’s motivation, satisfaction, and performance by addressing specific differences in attitudes, emotions, personalities, and values of individuals and how these differences influence behavior.  
Behavior assessments such as the DISC Platinum Rule Behavioral Style Assessment can be used to communicate more effectively, improve collaboration with peers, reduce conflict, team building, become a more effective leader, and increase career and personal success.   Successes at work and happiness in life depend in large on how well we communicate with others.   We tend to communicate with others, verbally and nonverbally, in a way we want other people to communicate with us.   But we often forget one of the most basic rules on life:   people are different.   We are much more effective and successful when we treat others as they want to be treated. We are reminded of a famous quote, “Do onto others as you wish done onto you.”   In order to   follow this cardinal rule so to speak, we have to understand our own preferred way of doing this and other people’s way of doing things.   It is only at this time that we adjust our behaviors, what we say, and do in order to build relationships, understanding, and cooperation from others (Witt, 2007).
Our behavior and attitude are a very important part of the communication process.   Possessing the knowledge of the behavior styles of individuals within a working team can provide a valuable tool for creating better chemistry and synergy among the working team.
