I chose nursing as my profession because nursing is a profession that thrives to meet the needs of human wellbeing. It is a discipline that ought to do compassionate care for the sick and ill. It is also a profession with job security and reasonable pay.

I believe that the core of nursing is knowledge, time management, compassionate care, good bed side manner and being advocate for the poor.

I believe that the focus of nursing is not much different from the core of nursing, Nursing focuses on to meet the needs of patients wellbeing, it focus on giving an extraordinary care, by being compassionate and serving those who in needs. It also focuses on promoting health and prevention of diseases.

My vision for myself as a nurse is that I will always seek to gain better knowledge to give best care for my patients, and be able to adapt feed backs and improve.

To live out my philosophy of nursing, every day I must remember this about the following:

  1. My patients: are an individual with multiple needs, including but not limited to , receiving best care, respect their privacy, culture, religion
  2. My patients’ families: are part of the care, who need attention and need to be included in the plan of care, they are also going through a number of stresses, secondary to the illness of their loved ones.
  3. My fellow health care professionals: are teams of the organization, who comes together to address the needs of the patient, and be able to reach our common goal.
  4. My own health: is very important and significant, to be able to productive in the work force, to sustain my life, and be able to support my kids and families.
