Online Education and Traditional

Online education allows students to learn at their own pace, while traditional education gives students the tools to succeed in a more competitive environment.
In my experience with online classes, I have found that they are not any more difficult that traditional classes, nor are they any easier. Online classes present the same level of difficulty, but they are much more convenient. No set time is established for when and where you work. Courses are accessible from any computer, and usually twenty-four hours a day. There is also a significant amount of one-on-one time with your instructors that would not be available at school. Online teachers are available through phone, e-mail, and sometimes fax. The material covered in online courses versus traditional high school courses is not in question (it is basically the same) but rather, the way it is presented. Online classes offer more direct assignments. Many times, students read a lesson and are tested on what they have read. This also helps develop reading comprehension. Instructions in the lesson provide clear examples of how the assignment should be completed.

Students can access their courses anytime, and from anywhere in the world. Although the system goes through monthly upgrades, an entire day is not usually sacrificed.
