Nuclear Power Plants

Nuclear Reactions Position

When it comes to using Nuclear Power, I would have to disagree. There may be some good reasons to use it but I believe the bad out- weighs the good.   Some people probably disagree with me but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
There is several reasons why I disagree.   For instance, the impact on Aquatic life, and the impact on human life.   The Aquatic life is being destroyed from the radioactive waste and it can take up to 10,000 years to get it back to normal.   The impact on human life can cause children born with birth defects.   If you look back to the disaster during the Second World War, after the nuclear bombs were dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, even after five decades children were born with birth defects caused from the nuclear affect.   As far as we know there is no remedies for it.
Think about Radioactive Waste, it can be devastating even if it is disposed at a safe place. It is still extremely hazardous because it can still leak radiation if it is not stored properly.   Nuclear accidents is another scare, like the Chernobyl or the Fukushima, even since they have occurred there has been more precautions, but it is still high risk.
To construct a Nuclear power plant it takes about 5 - 10 years to construct as there are several legal formalities to be completed.   That's not even saying how much it cost to construct one.   Usually the people that live around where they want to build one, will protest.
The most important reason to me is National risk.   Nuclear energy has given us the power to produce more weapons than to produce things that can make the world a better place to live in.   We have to become more careful and responsible while using nuclear energy to avoid any sort of major accidents.   They are hot targets for militants and terrorist organizations.
Everyone needs to remember that Nuclear energy in Non Renewable.   It uses uranium which is a scarce resource and is...
