Miss

I am applying for a post of Band 5 nurse as I am strongly committed to meeting the needs of patients and their families. I enjoy working with people, providing nursing care to patients and their families in a compassionate manner. I have worked as a nurse in acute and general medicine departments in the past and I really enjoyed it. This is one of the reasons why I am interested in this post. My passion for nursing started to develop when I was a child because I lost my childhood friend to malaria. The pain and grief stirred up a desire in me to care and provide support to other people who might have to also go through this painful process.
Nursing is a lifelong learning experience, a vocation and a profession. I have really enjoyed training as a nurse and my degree has equipped me with both theoretical knowledge and practical nursing skills.   Training outside the United Kingdom has equipped me with firsthand experience in international nursing care delivery. I am currently about to complete the overseas nursing programme. This course has given me the opportunity to update my knowledge and I am still learning about the role of a nurse in the United Kingdom in terms of responsibilities and accountability.
The importance of understanding the multicultural nature of work and caring for individuals has become more apparent to me and also I now have a better understanding of working in line with policies and procedures.
I believe that I meet the requirement mentioned in the person specification as follows:
