Critical Assessment
  The international Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) was established in 1863 and is the largest humanitarian network and are helping millions of people around the globe. ICRC holds the work force of more than 14,000 which represents over 100 nations. ICRC’s is been bound by a common heritage and is having a commitment to seven fundamental values of neutrality, independence, impartiality, humanity, voluntary service, unity and universality.
  The Microsoft Corporation is founded in April 1975 by William Gates and Paul Allen and is a multinational computer technology corporation. This US based company was ranked 38th by the Fortune Magazine in the list of 100 best companies to work and ranks 5th in people management.
Organizational structure at ICRC and Microsoft
  The ICRC organization is structured in a Tall Bureaucratic manner. Notwithstanding, the ICRC prides taking activity at field level permitting field representatives to have more self-sufficiency or the autonomy. The ICRC has a structured format of five different levels structure which functions on various levels. The organizational structure is divided on the basis of communication for the ease in the movement of information, Law for legal attainments of different nations, operations department, resources and operational support, and HR which meets the personnel’s needs of the organization
  Microsoft works within a flat structure, permits quicker decision making, clear and fast movement of communication within the organization. The structure is well organised and is considered best in the industry. The structure is organized in the way having easier flow of communication on various department levels.
