Employee Portfolio: Motivation Action Plan

Determine the motivational strategy or strategies that would likely be most appropriate for each of your three employees on basis of their individual characteristics. Indicate how you would leverage their employee evaluations to motivate each of the three employees. Describe one or more of the motivational theories and explain how the theories connect to each of your selected motivational strategies.

Likes his job and is overall happy in life, w. When he is happy at work and in life, he has high productivity.   His emotions play a role in his work and potentials for advancement.   He works wells with others and is reliable.


Keep Brad engaged in setting goals, providing feedback, and following up on his progression.   Continue to have open communication to help with handling his emotions and keeping him satisfied with his work while at work. Set SMART goals   and celebrate his achievements. Expectancy Theory – If Brad knows that he will be rewarded for doing a good job,   he will then try harder and will be satisfied in his life. This will lead into good performance and then will receive performance based rewards as well.

Needs to do well within at her job, . wWhen satisfied, she is a high producer and could be a super start.   She is reliable, good at what she does, provides accurate work, and improves morale.   She is highly influential to others and therefore has an impact on other’s productivity and could be a positive or negative outcome.



Set SMART goals that align with a project or something that Britt is passionate about.   Set meetings, provide feedback, and celebrate her achievements with her goals.   Perhaps get her to mentor others in the department and help with growth opportunities that expand outside of the department....
