Comprehensive outline of problems and issues
My Kasih foundation is one of Malaysia’s major non-profit organizations that aim to provide for poor and needy families with the goal to break the poverty cycle. My Kasih has a strong base of donors from corporate companies such as Giant, Caltex and AmBank Group (My kasih.com). The donations from these donors go directly to the families which are under the My Kasih Foundation program. Based on these donations the amount of families in which My Kasih supports has been increasing exponentially since the end of 2009 with 412 families up to now in 2011 with 9,101 families within 83 locations (My Kasih.com). However, even the most successful NGO’s and their systems, they tend to face problem and this is no exception for My Kasih foundation. It is essential for My Kasih highlight and take mitigating measures to alleviate crucial issues. If these issues are overlooked, these issues might lapse and worsen the implementation of My Kasih’s action plans and will be significantly affected.
Therefore, My Kasih needs to undertake pre-emptive measures to identify and handle these impending issues to avoid losing its donors/donations and on the contrary increase its donations. These issues also need to be taken seriously to avoid any potential disruption of its programs and activities. The detailed issues that the My Kasih foundation would possibly encounter are summarized in the table below:
