Philosophical novel by William Golding's "Lord of the Flies" appeared in 1954. Simple plot, realistic images of children, mentally verified underlying motive actions of characters, exotic locales merged in the "Lord of the Flies" in a terrible dystopia, showing the "brutality" of mankind. In his novel, Golding showed no specific characteristic of certain ideas of time and the timeless essence of human nature - the sinful, terrible, descending to the most violent crimes in the absence of a positive deterrent.
The plot of the novel comes at a time dating Ralph and Piggy: encountered after the crash the boys try to understand what happened to them, and find ways to solve the problem.
