The Hershey Company
The Hershey Company is famously known for being the biggest manufacture of chocolates. They have several popular brands, some of those we are familiar with are Hershey’s Kisses, York Peppermint Pattie, Rolo, and their Hershey Bar itself. Hershey is not only a chocolate company as it also produces food and beverage related products such as toppings and baking ingredients.
This has been a very interesting company to view the SWOT Analysis on. I have found out some very interesting things about the company. Thru the SWOT I found that just like all companies you have your weaknesses, strengths, opportunities, and threats. The Hershey Company does have some strong strengths and they do have their weaknesses as well. Hershey is a $4 billion dollar company and they became the largest candy company by the year of 1996. And it has become a household name for candy.   But like many other companies they have reduced their marketing because they believe their name and brand loyalty will continue to sell their products. By using more marketing when they come out with a new product will help them get their Global market back up and also help with the stakeholders to show they are advertising and still proud of their products. Hershey’s wants to be able to compete with the other markets and try to make their brand a little healthier and show the consumers that they are reaching the whole market. Making candy for diabetics or maybe using less sugar will help support the health kick that people are on these days. By developing a more environment friendly packaging will show the consumers that they care about the environment and can also be easier for the older generation to open as sometimes as we get older it’s hard for us to open the simplest things. With also recycling this helps with the pollution in the air and cuts down on waste going to landfills and destroying our earth. This will show...
