Jewish adherent follow the core ethical teachings and the practice to achieve the right relationship with God, to maintaining the covenantal relationship, by following their God’s will “…religious obligation to serve God…” which leads to deepening their spiritual and practical relationship with God, showing the influence of Judaism in the life of its adherents. The Jewish ethical teachings and practice are centred upon the principal beliefs of the belief in the one God & the divinely inspired moral laws. By adhering to these guidelines, it influences the Jewish adherent to develop a correct conduct of daily life, assisting them in their path to maintain the covenantal relationship.    

The ethical teachings in Judaism influence the life of a Jewish adherent.   Ethical Teachings is important in the life of the adherent as they convey the moral principles by which human actions are judged to be good or bad. They are a set of guidelines that respond to the question, “What does it mean to be human?” Adherents seek to understand this question, to become fully themselves, providing shape and meaning to their lives. The ethical teachings in Judaism assist the adherent to do the will of God, guiding them to achieve the right relationship with God, within oneself and with one’s neighbours. The ethical teachings, reaffirms the adherent’s religious and cultural identity as a Jew, thus shows the influence of Judaism in the life of its adherent. Judaism is a monotheistic religion holding the belief in One God, “…our God is one…” (Deut 6:4), who is the creator and the ruler of the universe. Yahweh is a personal God, who loves His creation greatly and He cares for His creatures intensely (Psalms 23 & 117). Out of love and concern He is a God of revelation and law.
