Information Systems

      Information systems are necessary for supporting the business functions in the firm. How well a company chooses the proper information systems can make the difference between a successful business and a failure. This paper will discuss information systems and how they impact Sussman Shank LLP. Any modern business requires information systems to handle everything from customer information, communication, and tasks. Without information systems to handle the various tasks of an organization, the firm would not be able to handle its operations efficiently. Information systems, includes software, and hardware. Hardware can include Computers, Servers, Printers, and storage devices. I am familiar with Sussman Shank, LLP, an attorney law firm. The firm uses hardware and software that helps the attorneys and staff communicate with each other more easily. The attorney’s and staff are networked through a network server. Sussman Shank have a number of servers to include e-mail, Blackberry, File, Print and Backup.
      My employment at Sussman Shank as a IT Support for the past seven years and the Information Infrastructure has been exceptional. We haven’t much of a down time throughout the network. All the attorney’s and staff as Sussman Shank LLP rely heavily on email for a way of communication with clients and among each other. The IT department put much time and effort into this particular server, making sure that it running efficiently without any delays. There are items that make the Information System at Sussman Shank LLP stable. Our facility is well wired with network cables and

all servers are well maintained and kept up to date with software and hardware. We concentrate on Microsoft Office Application, Blackberry, Data Backup, and File Print server. Those are pretty...
