I constantly ask myself, “Am considered healthy in my present stage? Or am I easily accessible to a disease?” These questions have lingered in my brain ever since my age became a factor. Now that I’m getting older, I feel that we all have to take the necessary steps to improve our health. Having a perfect balance of all six key elements in health and wellness, as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, is a choice we must all make. Below are some examples of what I plan to do.
      I think that the six elements of health are constantly active in my daily life. Personally, I carry a rather physical lifestyle working in construction and being a weight lifter. In my spare time, I like to also train my brain as well. By doing this, it helps me to level myself and give my mind some sort of exercise too. One element that I would increase in society would be the spiritual element. People constantly ask themselves what their purpose is in life and if God exists. Having a purpose in life and having the ability to cope with things can have a positive effect in your health. Once you understand your purpose and learn to cope with everyday situations, you won’t have to struggle with anxiety and depression which can have a negative impact in your mental and physical health. The second element that I would change in society is the physical element. Nowadays, it is common for people to get gym memberships and not use them. McAllen has become the most obese city in the nation according to "Valley Central News" (2012). This is because people have neglected their health and consume fast food on a regular basis instead of choosing the healthy foods. The third element I would change in society would be the environmental element.
