STEP 1: HAZARD
According to Leeds University, “Hazard is something that has the potential to cause harm including ill health, injury, loss of product and/or damage to plant and property, e.g. substances, machines, methods of work, e.t.c.   This step is very important in all the possible situations or events which could harm people in the workplace. The following could help greatly in hazard identification:
  * Workplace inspection
  * Checklist
  * Records of past accidents or near misses
  * Manufacturer information
  * Industry standards, e.t.c.
Hazard identified for this report is FIRE (Petrol and LPG fires)

STEP 2: RISK ASSESSMENTS
This is defined as a careful examination of what in your work could cause harm to people, so you can weigh up whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm (Leeds University, 2015). The higher the probability of an incident occurring and/or the more serious the consequence, the more urgent it is that the risk be controlled.
The most important questions are:
  1. How likely it is for the risk to occur
  2. Who could be affected
  3. What are the consequences
Due to the high probability of Petrol and/or LPG to be present at the workshop most of the time, the risk is deemed to be high because petrol and LPG are major precursor/factors require to...
