Based on its internet search and advertising technologies, Google develops its business and generates profit chiefly from its AdWords advertising program.   Rivalry among competing firms is the most powerful of the five competitive forces. This force describes the intensity of competition between existing companies in an industry. High competitive pressure lead to pressure on prices, margins, and hence, on profitability for every single player in the industry.

Longhorn search will be able to search the web, blogs, news sources, hard drive files, email plus attachments all from a keyword search without a browser.
