Genocide Essay

The government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has killed and tortured about 11,000 people.
The motive for his crime that he is doing is for land expropriation, national
security, territorial integrity, etc. If perpetrators commit acts intended to destroy
a group, even part of a group, it is genocide. Bashar al-Assad purpose may be to
stay in power but, him and everyone that is helping is creating genocide. Bashar
al-Assad is making Syria a bad place to live in, he is starving people to
death and they can’t to anything about it. We need to put a stop to this because
he is lying to Syria and putting people’s lives in danger by not doing what he says
he going to do for the country. If we
don’t stop him from doing all these bad things to the people of Syria, it will keep on happening. For
example, forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad went on a systematic killing spree
murdering around 108. The worst thing was they were targeting women, children, and even little
babies. A U.N. representative said the victims included 49 children who were younger than 10. The
al-Assad regime denied that they did anything but U.N. officials said that they saw clear evidence
that the Syrian Government was involved in this attack. This is similar to when
hitler would kill random jews, and he would kill all the kids too without any guilt.
The soldiers that committed the crimes show no remorse
They call the corpses names, swear at them, throw them
around, laugh at them, and undress them. This is an act of
dehumanization   and is not anything we would want to
happen to us.

Syria’s children are living through the most damaging conflict for children in the
regions recent history. Nearly 9 million Syrians have been displaced by the
fighting, 6.5 million within Syria, and about 2.4 million as refugees in
neighboring countries. The way the children are living in this country cant
be happening....
