Gay Marriage
The purpose of this paper is to show that gay marriage should be illegal. Merriam-Webster’s Online Collegiate Dictionary defines marriage as the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law. The reason that homosexual marriage is not a good thing is that it does not provide for the next generation, it goes against almost all biblical beliefs, and it creates quite a few important tax issues.  
Heterosexual marriage is a marriage between a man and woman.   If a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, were to be married to each other this would be called a homosexual marriage, or also known as gay marriage.   Gay marriage is a civil rights, political, social, moral, and religious issue in many nations.   Heterosexual marriage is sacred, and this makes the idea of homosexual marriage go against the grain of religion and society.   The whole idea of gay marriage is a violation of basic biblical tenets.   (Should Gay Marriage be Legal? written by:   The U.S. News & World Report).   If gay marriage is a moral and an “ok” thing, then why were man and woman created, why not just all men or all women?   In the beginning God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.    
There are several legal issues that pertain to gay marriage.   Marriage is a “civil contract” created by each state independently that establishes certain duties and confers certain benefits.   Some states have made gay marriage legal and some have made gay marriage illegal.   A few of the state laws are as listed:   On May 17, 2004, the state of Massachusetts became the first state in the United States of America to make gay marriage legal.   Meanwhile, Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, and Utah have enacted their own state constitutional amendments that limit marriages to...
