Two artists who display their connection with their contemporary artworks are Fiona Hall and Hossein Valamanesh. They both connect with their audience by having different aspects and features in their artworks which different people can relate to and pick up on. These artists both share the similar desire to fit in with the contempary art conventions and express their feelings in a way which is unique and original.
Fiona Margaret Hall was born in 1953 and is one of the most influential and well-known contemporary artists in Australia. She was an artist who used a diverse range of different art forms; such as sculpting, painting, installation, photography, garden design and video. Fiona Margaret Hall (b. 1953) is one of Australia's leading contemporary artists. She first emerged in the 1970s as a photographer, but during the 1980s transitioned to using a diverse range of art forms. Her ever-growing repertoire includes sculpture, painting, installation, garden design and video. Her way of painting or use of materials is what makes her art so unique and different. It is needed to display individuality and allows the audience to engage and relate to her artworks.   All of her works are created in her own and an Australian perspective. She uses her ability to transform any object into something new, to show her originality and relation to the rest of the world, focusing on an Australian background.
