Dear Mr. Stonefield
As you have already talked with Traci, we will be going over some of those employment laws that are in Texas. We will be identifying a few of them about what they are about and what would happen if you were to ignore that law. So again this will touch base on a few of the laws and how they will affect your business as you are growing. Also to let you know that this laws are in place to protect the employee as well as the employer. Compliance with the laws will be very good to do because if you don’t then your company can be fined up to a certain amount and could possibly be in court.
Now we see here that you want to have about 25 employees at the end of the year. This is great one to start off on. You have to be careful that you don’t discriminate potential employees for who they are. So with that being said you have to be careful that you aren’t hiring people because how they look. You have to be careful on not asking about their age, religion, national origin. If you were to ask them about this they can come back and say that you didn’t give them the job because they were discriminated against and you can face a fine from the state of Texas because of this.   This is a big one because you don’t want people to feel discriminated against.
