Essay title for TMA 02: The influence of attachment theory on my Practice

In this essay I will be discussing the attachment theory by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth and there influences and significances of attachment theory and how we approach his theory influence our practice In part 1 I will completing table on my knowledge of attachment theory and giving evidences from study module Book 1 and Book 2, Reader 2 and audio DVD 1 Block 3, title Ainsworth. In part 2 will be discuss how my setting deals with transition and inductions with supporting evidence from study module.

Outline the key points of the theory|They key point of theory is that it highlight the significance of young children in establishing a strong emotional attachment to particular adult and influence it can have them as they develop relationships in later life an promote positive self-esteem and reduce anxiety in order to promote exploration. His theory on Attachment serves a number of important purposes. First, it helps keep infants and children close to their caregivers so that they can receive protection, which in turn helps boost their chances of survival. This important emotional bond also provides children with a secure base from which they can then safely explore their environment.|
