Dreams

Dreams are the emotions that can help people get via hardship and difficulty. Some dreams are a guidance or inspiration that make life living for, even in the worse life conditions. They give us a reason to be persistent in our greatest aspirations of life. Despite the obstacle or roadblock that may come, dreams drive us to be resilient in obtaining the absolute vision that are instituted with the dreams. These thoughts, images, sounds or emotions race through your mind to paint vivid pictures or actions to emulate your desired feelings into reality. Every dream is something that we want to once attain in our lifetime, but in doing so there must be some type of sacrifice, which is why we should hold on to our dreams and stand strong by them.
In Langston Hughes poem “A Dream Deferred,” Hughes says that a dream is goal in life, not just experienced during sleep. He says that the dream is important to the dreamers life. Dreams are things that can makes us or break us. He says that if you hold off your dreams then things might not turn out the way you want it to. In Hughes poem, he says that holding off your dream too long is like meat that had rotted. Linda Sue Grimes says that “dead animal flesh that some people use for food will turn rancid and give off horrible odor if it is not used in a certain time period.” If the dream is not attended to then the dream will slowly fade away and possibly die sooner or later. From this, we need to work hard to get things done by taking the initiative to work harder and not postpone dreams. By postponing your dreams you are slowly losing hope to get through the events at times they happen to get to your destination which is your dream.
