Natural disasters illustrate the most significant conflict between nature and humans. Upon witnessing the destruction of lives and property, people are often rendered hopeless. However, people misinterpret the impacts of natural disasters; they mistakenly underestimate the positive impacts of natural disasters. In fact, natural disasters can be constructive in many ways. Although it is emotionally difficult for mankind to face natural disasters, the occurrence of natural disasters creates opportunities for humans to understand the world better, to prevent greater losses in the future, and to advance economic development. Natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and storms are indeed fatal to human life, but it is also important for humans to reflect on themselves, respect of nature, and see the potential positive impacts that natural disaster has provided to us. Natural disasters inevitably cause injuries, property damage, and economic disruptions for human society. Instead of being resentful about natural disasters, humans should respect nature disasters. Only if humans cultivate a respectful attitude about nature can they become more resilient in facing natural disasters.
