Communication coordinators manage the communication strategies of the companies that they are employed by. They are in charge of responding to inquiries and releasing any information regarding issues pertaining to the company. There has recently been reports of significant adverse reactions caused by one of the medications that is manufactured by our company. This medication is widely prescribed and there has also been reports that a public figure has been negatively affected by this drug. Negative feedback from this person can damage the credibility and lower the public opinion of this company. As the communications coordinator, how we address the public regarding this issue without losing the trust and business that has been created with investors and consumers is going to be a difficult task. In today’s meeting we will decide which communication method is the most appropriate for the situation at hand. There are several forms of communication including traditional, social media and electronic. Each of these forms has advantages and disadvantages and each must adhere to the rules and regulations of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  
Traditional forms of communication include newspapers, radio, television and magazines. Almost all people will come across most of these forms in their daily lives.   Newspapers and magazines are a great form because it provides a written record of the response to the situation and would create a permanent document for people to refer to. Using a traditional method would require a well written and precise speech otherwise the quality may cause a negative effect on the company. Two other effective methods of communication are radio and television. With these two methods, the chance to have the audience see or hear the emotion gives the opportunity for this company to connect with the public.
