Unit 501 Use and develop systems that promote communication. In my role of regional Health and social care manager I support individuals with various communication needs. 1.1 I support a diverse group of individuals with diverse needs and requirements; I support individuals with varied communication requirements inclusive of verbal, hand and face gestures, written, assisted, public, formal, informal and organisational. When I go out to complete an initial assessment I complete a communication care plan, this includes methods and preferred ways of communication. If an individual is nonverbal I discuss with the individual and their significant others on preferred ways of communication.
