A GUIDE TO REFLECTIVE PRACTICE |
WHAT IS REFLECTIVE PRACTICE? | Reflective practice is the process of looking back on the work I have previously done. Getting a better understanding of myself, how I work, my thoughts feelings and any thing I can learn from the experience. |
WHY IS REFLECTIVE PRACTICE IMPORTANT? | It will help improve the quality of care I can deliver. It will give me an awareness of my own personal thoughts and feelings. Professional development will improve and I will be able to learn from any mistakes I might make. |
HOW REFLECTIVE PRACTICE CONTRIBUTES TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVISION. |   I will be aware of what works for certain client groups; I will gain the knowledge of what could be added or taken away in order to provide an individual package of care.   It can help me think about how I work, what I’ve done well and what I can be do to improve things in the future. |
HOW STANDARDS CAN BE USED TO HELP A SOCIAL CARE WORKER REFLECT ON THEIR PRACTICE. | I familiarise myself with the Company working standards.
