Understand the teaching role and responsibilities in Education and Training.

There are many roles and responsibilities in education and training all necessary so a safe,   inclusive learning environment can be achieved. The role and responsibilities follow the teaching and learning cycle – 1. Identify learner needs   2.Plan/ Design the session   3.Facilitate learning   4.Assess the learning and   5.Quality assurance and evaluation. A few examples of roles and responsibilities in teaching are you need to be a Health and Safety officer. I am responsible for the health and safety of all learners who are attending the session. A check for hazards/risks of the training room should be done prior to the start of the session e.g. trailing wires, lighting, seating, heating, clutter free. These checks are essential so a safe and comfortable environment is achieved and to help learning to take place. Another role as a teacher is a communicator. A good communicator is vital so knowledge can be transferred to learners using clear easy to understand language, Good open body language to help learners relax and build rapport. A good   communicator ensures the group of learners communicate with each other using ice breakers again this relaxes the group eases learning and builds rapport between the groups. As a teacher I need to be approachable, flexible, empowering, adaptable to encourage and motivate learners to achieve meet needs both personal and organisational needs.
