A Reflection of My Development and My Meta-Theory

A Reflection of My Development and My Meta-Theory

There is no doubt that many have influenced my development and narrowing down the “biggest” proved to be a challenging yet enjoyable experience.   The first two that come to mind are my parents; my development started with them.   From the beginning they both have helped shape the person I am today.   I have noticed that as I have gotten older and have started my own family their influence is ever present.   I have developed into the father and husband I am because of their example and teachings and certainly their biology.
Additional influences I had on my development were the many incredible and not so incredible US Marines I served with for 8 years.   I developed into a confident leader under the guidance and teachings of the Marines I served with.   Finally, I have had three professors in college who have and are currently influencing my development today and into the future.   I came into college, a little later in life than most, and knew exactly what I wanted to do.   Because of these three professors I have altered my goals and career path.
