A Dreamer's Reality

Your attitude in life depends on how you perceive each passing day, is it another struggle for survival or another opportunity to show the world what you are truly made of? I, for one, take every obstacle in life as my chance to prove everyone who has put me down wrong. I was once told to never let anyone or anything stand in the way of your dreams or your passions and to set the world on fire; to love and inspire everyone. I try to live by this with everything I do from day to day.
I have found that there are too many people in this world who allow others to put their dreams down and then they lose all courage to pursue them.   I refuse to ever become one of them. People also let circumstances in their life dictate what they think they can and cannot do, thus living their life within a box they confined themselves in. I want to use my passions and my dreams and my drive for success to inspire these people who let their fire for life go out. I live my life with the attitude that if I put in the effort and time and commitment that I can achieve what I want. I am realistic about my goals, but I do dare to dream. I put high expectations of myself and push to soar above those. There have been many times in my life, especially in my high school career, that I have used these words of advice to help achieve my goals.
My freshman year as I was searching like everyone to find my place and figure out who I was, I stumbled into DECA, an organization that focuses on marketing and entrepreneurships through competitive events, community service, and leadership. This was it, this was my niche. I had done what many still haven’t accomplished half way through college; found what I wanted to do with my life. With everything I did with this organization I always pushed myself to excel above the expectations of teachers and advisors and fellow members.
